I was born in Scotland, then relocated as an adult with my family to the USA.

I have always loved to draw and paint but really didn't have the opportunity as I was raising a family and working as a Registered Nurse.

A life changing event made me aware that I had an absolute compulsion to paint women "Divas".

I jumped in, and have entered the art world.

When I pick up my paintbrush I feel excitement about who will burst out on to my canvas.  I love the feeling of not knowing.  I am passionate about using color, and acrylic paint is the ideal medium for painting my vibrant women.

When I begin to paint I love to use primary colors that speak.  The divas really tell me who they are and I just follow along.  My muse comes from inside, and I am inspired by the act of creating fun whimsical sweet characters.

One person told me, "I have an ample butt and I think your work celebrates the beauty of it."

"I feel like buying your picture is like giving myself a big pat on the back and hurling back all the criticism I"ve given myself all my life for not being perfect."

"Fun, movement, these are alive."

These remarks are what my art is all about, and what makes my feel happy is knowing that people love my "divas".
My art has been shown at local restaurants, and juried art fairs.
